Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders – May 8, 2021
Boxing has always been a staple in Las Vegas, and this highly anticipated super-middleweight fight is no exception. On May 8th, 2021, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will be contested by Billy Joe Saunders at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 40,000—the first of this magnitude since the COVID-19 pandemic. Alvarez is on a 14-fight unbeaten streak with only one loss on his record to Floyd Mayweather. Not to be outdone, Saunders is a perfect 30-0 and has defended his super-middleweight title twice. UFC 262 – May 15, 2021
On May 15th, 2021, the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, will host UFC 262 featuring Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler as they square off for the lightweight title. The UFC lightweight title is still vacant after champ Khabib Nurmagomedov relinquished the belt, so the winner of this fight will take home the championship. Indy 500 – May 30, 2021
The Indianapolis 500, also known as the Indy 500, is the annual automobile race that goes the distance. As part of the IndyCar Series, this 500-mile race is held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway every year as the premier auto racing event of the season. This year’s race is scheduled for Sunday, May 30th, 2021, and offers thrills and excitement as the drivers attempt to complete 200 laps around the speedway.
